School Year Volunteer Opportunities

This option is ideal for volunteers who can commit to coming on the same day each week.

Description
  • Tutors are responsible for providing help on homework in reading, writing, and math. Homework may also include D41 directed computer programs. Once homework is completed, supplementary activities will be provided by a Class Coordinator.
Additional Information
  • Tutoring takes place Monday - Thursday from 4:30pm-5:30pm.
  • Volunteers choose the day (or days) that work best with their schedule.
  • Volunteers are paired with the same student each week.
  • Tutoring takes place at Abraham Lincoln and Churchill Elementary Schools.

  • High school aged and older

Summer Volunteer Opportunities

Description
  • Summer classroom volunteers assist with a variety of academic activities in a classroom setting, both in groups and one-on-one with students. Reading, writing, and math are the primary subjects covered.
Additional Information
  • Summer program dates: 6/24 - 7/25; Camp week 7/29-7/31
  • Classroom instruction takes place Monday - Thursday from 9am-12pm.
  • Volunteers choose the day (or days) that work best with their schedule.
